04/06/1999 CITY OF GRAND TERRACE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING - APRIL 6. 1999 A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Grand Terrace was called to order in the Council Chambers, Grand Terrace Civic Center, 22795 Barton Road, Grand Terrace, California, on April 6, 1999 at 4:00 p.m. PRESENT: Byron Matteson, Mayor Dan Buchanan, Mayor Pro Tem Herman Hilkey, Councilmember Jim Singley, Councilmember Lee Ann Garcia, Councilmember Tom Schwab, City Manager John Donlevy, Assistant City Manager Brenda Stanfill, City Clerk Bernard Simon, Finance Director Patrizia Materassi, Community and Economic Development Director Virgil Barham, Building & Safety Director Lt. Pete Ortiz, Sheriffs Department John Harper, City Attorney ABSENT: None The meeting was opened with invocation by Mayor Pro Tem Buchanan, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilmember Singley ITEMS TO DELETE - None SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS 2A. Recycling Family of the Month Mayor Matteson announced that Mr. James Coller is the recipient of the Recycling Family of the Month for February 1999 and of the local merchant gift certificates from Sub Depot, Dominos Pizza, Blue Mountain Coffee House and La Pasta Italia. 2B. Proclamation - National Victim's Week Councilmember Singley read a proclamation proclaiming the week of April 25 through May 1, 1999 as National Victim's Week in the City of Grand Terrace and presented it to Trish Holland from the Inland Empire Chapter of Families and Friends of Murder Victims. Proclamation - Blue ribbon Week - May 10, 1999 ' Mayor Pro Tem Buchanan read a proclamation proclaiming the week of May 10, 1999 as "Blue Ribbon 'Week" in the City of Grand Terrace in recognition and support of all peace officers and law enforcement agencies.
