03/27/1980CITY OF GRAND TERRACE COUNCIL MINUTES ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING - MARCH 27, 1980 An Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Grand Terrace was called to order at 22795 Barton Road at 4:00 p.m. by Deputy City Clerk, Myrna Lindahl. The meeting was adjourned at 4:03 p.m. to 12354 Mt. Vernon. The Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Grand Terrace was called to order at 12354 Mt. Vernon, First Baptist Church of Grand Terrace, Grand Terrace, California, at 4:08 p.m. on March 27, 1980. PRESENT: Tony Petta, Mayor Thomas A. Tillinghast, Mayor Pro Tempore Doug Erway, Councilman Hugh J. Grant, Councilman Seth Armstead, Ctiy Manager Joe Kicak, City Engineer John Harper, representing Ivan Hopkins, City Attorney Myrna Lindahl, Executive Secretary/Deputy City Clerk ABSENT: Jack Allen, Councilman Ivan Hopkins, City Attorney EXECUTIVE SESSION Council adjourned to an Executive Session at 4:09 p.m., with the following in attendance: City Manager Seth Armstead; Attorney John Harper; Administrative Services/Finance Officer Edward Clark; City Engineer Joe Kicak; Edward Duddy, Deputy County Counsel; Fred Grindle, Mel Reynolds and Michael Perry, Special Districts Department, County of San Bernardino; and Brett DeWitt and James E. Dudek, B. R. Sharp & Company, C.P.A.'s, Riverside. RECONVENE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING The adjourned regular meeting of the City Council reconvened at 5:45 p.m. with all members present, except Councilman Allen. Mayor Petta reported the Executive Session dealt with litigation and no action was taken. Page one 3/27/80 STREET NAME SIGNS - BIDS RECEIVED City Manager Seth Armstead reported that the bid opening for the Federal -Aid Safer Roads Demonstration Project SRS- OOOS (008) (street name signs) was held at 2:00 p.m. on March 26, 1980 at City Hall; that only one bid was received at that time from Matich Corporation for a total bid price of $43,331. CC-80-94 Motion was made by Councilman Tillinghast, seconded by Council- man Grant and carried unanimously to reject all bids received and to authorize Staff to rebid the Federal -Aid Safer Roads Demonstration Project SRS-000S (008) immediately. MEETING WITH CITY COMMITTEES Mayor Petta addressed the Committee Chairmen and Members stating that Council and Staff want to work more closely with the Committees, and requested positive input from them. ADJOURN CC-80-95 Motion was made by Councilman Erway, seconded by Councilman Tillinghast and carried unanimously to adjourn the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council to Public Work Session at 6:20 p.m. The Public Work Session Adjourned at 7:45 p.m. A Public Work Session will be held Thursday, April 3, at 4:00 p.m., followed by the Regular Meeting at 6:00 p.m. Respectfully submitted, City Clerk Approved• d w Mayor - Page two 3/27/80
