COUNCIL MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING - AUGUST 14. 1980
A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Grand Terrace was called to
order at 22795 Barton Road, City Hall, Grand Terrace, California, at 4:03 p.m. on
August 14, 1980.
PRESENT: Thomas A. Tillinghast, Mayor
Hugh J. Grant, Mayor Pro Tempore
Tony Petta, Councilman

The meeting was opened with invocation by Councilman Nix, followed by the Pledge of

Allegiance, led by Councilman Grant.
RESOLUTION NO. 80-34
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE NEGOTIATED EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY TAX REVENUES
RESULTING FROM THE JURISDICTIONAL CHANGE INVOLVING THE COUNTY OF SAN
BERNARDINO, LAFC NO. 1928.
CC-80-288 Motion was made by Councilman Grant, seconded by Councilman Petta, to
adopt Resolution No. 80-34. Following clarification by Mayor
Tillinghast of the purpose of the Resolution, the Motion carried
unanimously.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Council adjourned to an Executive Session at 4:07 p.m. to discuss
litigation matters, with Acting City Manager Ed Clark, Attorney Jim
Craig, Clayson, Rothrock & Mann, and City Engineer Joe Kicak in attendance.

RECONVENE
Council reconvened the special meeting at 6:10 p.m., with all
members present. Mayor Tillinghast announced the Executive Session
concerned matters of litigation, with no action being taken.
ADJOURN
The Special Meeting of the City Council adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
The next regular meeting will be held August 21, 1980. A Public
Work Session will be held at 4:00 p.m., followed by the regular
meeting at 6:00 p.m.
