•October 2016:West Coast Arborists (WCA)awarded contract for Citywide Street Tree
Maintenance contract for five-year term for $192,802 –ends October 2021
•September 2017:Contract increased by $15,000 for total contract amount of $207,802
•WCA performed contracted services for the City since 2016 (on five-year plan),and has
also performed services outside of original scope by providing additional service calls to
address additional requests,which increased mobilization and staff costs
BACKGROUND
RECOMMENDATION
•Staff recommends the existing contract with West Coast Arborists is increased by $31,311
•Staff recommends extending the contract end date to June 30,2022
•Staff will follow up with separate council agenda item to address incomplete contract
scope of work not originally included in the existing contract with West Coast Arborists
•Amendment #2 Addresses the following (2016 unit costs):
