G.7 - Petta Land Donation Agreement PowerpointCity of Grand Terrace DONATION OF LAND –FEBRUARY 22, 2022 Background I.The Family Trust of Anthony Petta and Angeline Petta (“Petta Family Trust”) currently owns the property with Assessor Parcel Numbers 0276 -213 -47 -0-000. II.Angeline Petta is the trustee of the Petta Family Trust III.The Property is generally located at the intersection of Preston Street and Barton Road in the City of Grand Terrace. IV.Ms.Petta has agreed to donate the Property to the City for public purposes of a library,police substation,performing arts center,or any other allowable use that is in the best interests of the residents of the City of Grand Terrace as determined by the City Council. Discussion Price: If approved,the Property will be donated to the City.The appraised value is $750,000. City Obligations: City will pay for all costs of closing and a title insurance policy.The City is required to deposit $1000 for this purpose. Contingent upon General Plan Conformance Finding Government Code Section 65402 -The City Council’s approval of the Real Property Donation Agreement would be contingent upon the Planning Commission finding the donation,and acceptance thereof by the City,to be consistent with the General Plan. Recommendation The City Council is recommended to adopt the following Resolution: “A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE ACCEPTING THE DONATION OF REAL PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED AT PRESTON STREET AND BARTON ROAD IN GRAND TERRACE, CA (APN 0276-213 -47 -0-000) FROM ANGELINE PETTA, TRUSTEE OF THE FAMILY TRUST OF ANTHONY PETTA AND ANGELINE PETTA (AKA PETTA TRUST) DATED MAY 10, 2012 AND APPROVING THE RELATED REAL PROPERTY DONATION AGREEMENT, CONTINGENT UPON THE PLANNING COMMISSION’S FINDING THEREOF CONFORMS WITH THE CITY’S GENERAL PLAN” Questions?
