Subject: Request for a Budget Augment for Environmental Consulting Services Related to the
Blue Mountain Senior Villas Project(LSA Project No. CGT0601)
Dear Gary:
LSA Associates, Inc., (LSA) is submitting this augment request to cover work efforts associated with
preparation of the Burrowing Owl Site Assessment,Archeological and Sacred Lands records search,and
air quality modeling for the proposed senior residential development.These work efforts were conducted
to address specific comments received from responsible agencies during the public,review of the Initial
Study and Notice of Preparation.These work efforts were not anticipated in LSA's original scope(dated
September 5,2006).Based on a review of past billing periods,the budget required to complete these tasks
totaled$2,570.As of June 30,2007,the amount billed to the project totals$66,803.96,which exceeds the
total authorized contract amount of$66,160 by$743.96.Budget to complete the three unscoped tasks had
been appropriated from the environmental work effort;therefore,it is necessary to augment the existing
contract to recoup this deficit and ensure budget is available to cover any remaining work effort associated
with the proposed project.
When added to our current contract of$66,160, the$2,570 requested in this augment will increase the
total contract amount to$68,730.
