A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMITTAL OF LOCAL AGENCY-STATE AGREEMENT
AND PROGRAM SUPPLEMENT AGREEMENT COVERING
PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING FOR SEISMIC RETROFIT
OF THE BARTON ROAD HIGHWAY BRIDGE
WHEREAS, the State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has been
formulating strategies for the state mandated local agency bridge seismic retrofit program; and
WHEREAS, each agency has had to decide if the local agency wanted to design the seismic
retrofit of their bridges or have Caltrans do all the design work and the local agency do the
administering of the project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grand Terrace chose to have Caltrans do the design work;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Local Agency-State Agreement No. 08-5421 and Program Supplement
Agreement No. 001-M covering Preliminary Engineering for the Barton Road Highway Bridge over
the Southern Pacific Railroad,Project No. STPLZ-5421(001), is hereby approved and the Mayor is
hereby authorized to execute the necessary agreements.
