RESOLUTION NO. 98-03
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND
TERRACE CALIFORNIA APPROVING AN APPLICATION TO THE
SOUTH COAST AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT DISTRICT, MOBILE
SOURCE AIR POLLUTION REDUCTION COMMITTEE FOR 25% CO-
FUNDING AND AUTHORIZED USE OF -THE CITY'S AB2766
SUBVENTION FUNDS FOR THE ELECTRIC VEHICLE LEASE (EV-1).
WHEREAS,the South Coast Air Quality Management District(SCAQMD)Mobile
Source Air Pollution Reduction Committee (MSRC) is offering exclusively to Cities and
Counties within the SCAQMD the opportunity to participate in the Local Government
Subvention Fund Match Program that co-funds clean air projects; and
WHEREAS,the MSRC, using its Discretionary Funds, will contribute a 25% funding
match against the City's AB2766 Subvention Funds; and
WHEREAS,the MSRC requires that Cities and Counties match the Program
Discretionary Funds with unallocated AB2766 Subvention Funds; and
WHEREAS,the City's undertaking of an Electric Vehicle Lease is eligible for funding
through the Subvention Fund Match Program; and
WHEREAS,the funding from the Local Government Subvention Fund Match Program
will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis; and
WHEREAS,the MSRC is accepting applications for eligible projects during a six month
period ending March 3, 1998.
WHEREAS, a properly noticed public hearing was held by the City Council on
February 18, 1998, to hear this proposed project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Grand
Terrace does hereby resolve, determine, and find as follows:
Section 1 Endorsement and Initiation of an Electric Vehicle Lease as part of an
expansion of the San Bernardino County,I-10 Electric Vehicle Corridor
Community (EVCC)Program for use by City employees for field
inspections,maintenance, and local meetings.

Section 2 Authorization to use unallocated AB2766 Subvention Funds for the
Electric Vehicle lease.
Section 3 Authorization for staff to submit an application to the MSRC for a 25%
match for the project.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Grand
Terrace California at a regular meeting held on the 18th day of February, 1998:
