1998-10 RESOLUTION NO. 98-10
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,AMENDING
THE MEASURE I FIVE-YEAR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
PROGRAM AND TWENTY-YEAR TRANSPORTATION
PLAN
WHEREAS, City Council desires to amend the Measure I, 5 and 20 Year Capital
Improvement Plan(Measure I CIP), and
WHEREAS,revenue from the tax can only be used for transportation improvements and
traffic management programs authorized in the Expenditure Plans set forth in Ordinance 89-01 of
the Authority; and i
WHEREAS,the City Council at its meeting of February 18, 1998, approved participation
with the City of Colton in the replacement of the Southern Pacific Rail Road bridge as part of the
Caltrans, Highway Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation Program(HBRR); and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to include the upgrade of Barton Road to Major
Highway status at Vivienda intersection area, in the City Measure I CIP; and
WHEREAS,proposed amendments are consistant with the City General Plan Circulation
Element; and
WHEREAS,proposed amendments are feasible and within the financial means of the City
of Grand Terrace; and
WHEREAS, proposed amendments enhance operational effectiveness of the circulation
system by increasing capacity and traffic safety.
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The City of Grand Terrace Measure I CIP is hereby adopted as amended and
incorporated in the table attached.
