E.6 Updating Fee SchedulesUpdated Fees Schedule July 11, 2023 2030 Vision Statement •Goal #1 –“Ensuring our Fiscal Viability” by ensuring appropriate cost recovery for services provided. BACKGROUND •California State Law establishes that City Council may institute reasonable fees for the processing of permits and regulatory activities, •As long as the fees do not exceed the amount reasonably required to administer the processing of the permits and regulatory activities. BACKGROUND •The Grand Terrace Municipal Code (Code) sets forth the fee amounts that the City may charge for the various permits, licenses, services, etc., for the City. DISCUSSION •January 27, 2015 –Council adopted an updated fee schedule for Planning, Engineering and Building & Safety Fees. •May 12, 2020 –Council adopted Resolution 2020-12 to reaffirm and reorganize certain fees and deposits, but there were no increases to the fees. DISCUSSION •October 25, 2022 –Council approved the services agreement with Revenue Cost Services for a Citywide User Fee and Rate Study. STAFF RECOMMENDATION •Adopt a resolution updating fees and deposits previously approved and established by the City Council in Titles 4, 5, 8, 10, 12 & 13 of the GTMC. Questions?
