1994-02 RESOLUTION NO. 94-02 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING CONSENT TO THE FORMATION OF A SPECIAL REASSESSMENT DISTRICT WHEREAS, the legislative body of the County of San Bernardino, California, has proposed the adoption of a resolution approving the reassessment of parcels in a number of established assessment districts created and administered by the County, including Assessment District No. 1-H, which district lies within the boundaries of the City of Grand Terrace, through the formation of a reassessment district to be known and designated as ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 94-2 (REFUNDING) (hereinafter referred to as the "Reassessment District"), under the provisions of the "Refunding Act of 1984 for 1915 Improvement Act Bonds", being Division 11.5 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and, WHEREAS, the County of San Bernardino further proposes to issue refunding bonds secured by the reassessments to refund the bonds issued with respect to the original assessment districts; and, WHEREAS, the County of San Bernardino requests the consent of this body to the adoption of said reassessment resolution and to the refunding project and specifically to allow reassessments on properties within the incorporated limits of the City of Grand Terrace. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the above recitals are all true and correct. Section 2. That the public interest, convenience and necessity require the reassessments as referred to in, and subject to the conditions of, the proposed resolution of reassessment and the proposed refunding for the referenced Assessment District 1-H. Section 3. That this City Council hereby grants its consent to the following: 1. Formation of the Reassessment District; 2. Power to reassess benefited properties in Assessment District 1-H; 3. The assumption of jurisdiction by the County of San Bernardino for all purposes in connection with the Reassessment District; 4. The enclosed proposed resolution of reassessment; r 5. The issuance of refunding bonds with respect to Assessment District 1-H. RESOLUTION NO. 94-02 PAGE 2 Section 4. That reassessment proceedings shall be pursuant to the provisions of the "Refunding Act of 1984 for 1915 Improvement Act Bonds", being Division 11.5 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. Section 5. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to certify a copy of this Resolution to the County of San Bernardino.
