1994-05 RESOLUTION NO. '94-05
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAND TERRACE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS
FROM THE USED OIL RECYCLING FUND UNDER THE
USED OIL RECYCLING ENHANCEMENT ACT,
FOR THE FOLLOWING PROJECT:
USED OIL RECYCLING PUBLIC EDUCATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the California Oil
Recycling Enhancement Act that provides funds to cities and counties for establishing and
maintaining local used oil collection programs that encourage recycling or appropriate
disposal of used oil; and
WHEREAS, the California Integrated Waste Management Board (Board) has been
delegated the responsibility for administration of the program with the state, setting up
necessary procedures governing application by cities and counties under the program;.and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the California Integrated Waste
Management Board require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of application
before submission of said application to the state; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grand Terrace will enter into an agreement with the State
of California for development of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the city of Grand
Terrace, State of California, hereby:
1. Approves the filing of an application of the California Used Oil Recycling
Block Grant Program under the California Oil Recycling Enhancement Act
for state grant assistance for the project specified above; and
2. Certifies that the City with the assistance of the California Used Oil Recycling
Block Grant Program, will have sufficient funds to operate and maintain the
project; and
3., Appoints the City Manager as agent of the City Council to conduct all
negotiations, execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to
applications, agreements, amendments, payment requests and so on, which
may be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned project.

of California, at a regular meeting held on the 12th day of May, 1994.
