1987-16 RESOLUTION NO. 87-16
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA,. SUPPORTING AB 1637
PROVIDING FOR COUNTY ELECTION ON HALF-CENT
TRANSPORTATION SALES TAX.
WHEREAS, AB 1637 requires adoption of a five year project list for use
of the City's share of local sales tax transportation funds; and
WHEREAS,_ City of Grand Terrace has identified projects that have been
pending,.-as high priority projects; and - •,.
WHEREAS, lack of-adequate funding has precluded construction of these
_ projects- -and
-WHEREAS, the revenues generated from the proposed half-cent
Transportation Sales Tax would provide for partial funding of the needed
projects:
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE DOES'
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE AND DETERMINE. AS FOLLOWS:
1 . Local- share of the cost for widening. Barton-Road.
Bridge over I-215 and the associated ramp_:work.
2. Widening of Barton Road. Br.idge over Southern:Pacific
Railroad at the Westerly- city limit of the City of--
Grand Terrace. This wou-ld be a_ joint project with
the City of Colton.
3. Traffic signal installation at DeBerry and Mt. Vernon.
4. Construction of Michigan Avenue between Main Street and
Barton Road.
Adopted this 25th day of June, 1987.
