1987-17 RESOLUTION NO. 87-17
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A POLICY
OF NON-DISCRIMINATION IN ACCORDANCE_ WITH
REGULATIONS PUBLISHED IN THE UNITED STATES FEDERAL
REGISTER AND THE INTENT OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, the City of Grand Terrace, in accordance with regulations
published in the United States Federal Register as well as the intent of the
City, intends to establish a policy of non-discrimination; and
WHEREAS, the policies regarding non-discrimination have been
established in the Personnel Policy manual as well as for application of
revenue sharing funds; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to establish a uniform policy of
non-discrimination in every and all programs including personnel:
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . That the City Council of the City of Grand Terrace hereby
advises the public, employees and job applicants that ,the City does not
discriminate on the basis of political affiliation, race, color, ancestry,
national origin, sex, age, religious belief, or handicapped status in
admission to, or treatment or employment in, its programs and activities.
Section 2. That the City Manager or his department is hereby
designated to administer the policy of non-discrimination.
Adopted this 9th day of July, 1987.
