1989-06 RESOLUTION NO. 89-06 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE SUPPORTING AB-1160, WHICH WOULD RESTORE L LOCAL CONTROL OVER THE SITING OF HALF-WAY HOUSES IN RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOODS. WHEREAS, the State has currently removed any local control over the siting of half-way houses in residential neigh- borhoods; and WHEREAS, placing of half-way houses without City re- view could pose to be detrimental to residential neighborhoods; and WHEREAS, the City sees a need for half-way houses, but feels local control should be exercised in looking at each place- ment on a case-by-case basis; and WHEREAS, AB-1160 would restore local control by Cities to regulate where half-way houses may be sited: NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the -City of Grand Terrace does hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows : That the City of Grand Terrace hereby supports AB-1160 which would restore local control of where half-way houses may be sited within residential neighborhoods.
