Findings of Conformance with the Generall Plan Pursuant to Government Code Section 65402 For the Disposition of City Property Located at 22400 Barton Road, #200 Sandra Molina, Planning and Developm nt Services Director gave the Power Point presentation for this item. Chairman Tom Comstock asked if the Ci is required to go out to bid when selling its property. Director Molina stated the City is not requ red to go out to bid. She also provided a little history on the previous tenant's option to urchase the property, but the tenant declined to do so. Chairman Comstock wanted to be sure tl at other prospective buyers had the ability to purchase the property should they desired to do so. Director Molina explained that the City anager entertain proposals to purchase city- owned properties and this particular prop sal came quickly. G. Harold Duffey, City Manager stated th t he listed the property with a broker and an offer was made quickly, along with a cou ter-offer. INFORMATION TO COMMISSIONERS Director Molina informed the Planning Commission that there will be a Planning Commission meeting scheduled to take place on.July 19, 2018. D. INFORMATION FROM COMMISSIONER Commissioner Jeff Allen stated that he takes his grandchildren to the various parks throughout the City. He has a surface temperature device to read the temperature on the playground equipment which has reac more than 160 degrees. He asked Staff to check into whether there were any grantc available for shade structures to cover the playground equipment.
