RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING
A CONSENT CALENDAR AS PART OF ITS AGENDA
AND ESTABLISHING PROCEDURES FOR SAID CONSENT
CALENDAR
WHEREAS, in order that the public may remain informed
and to expedite the conduct of City Council meetings , it
is the intent of this City Council that actions be taken
openly and in an expeditious manner; and
WHEREAS , this City Council is entitled to conduct
its deliberations in a manner which will provide for
expeditious and open meetings; and
WHEREAS, in order to accomplish the foregoing
objectives, it is necessary for this Council to adopt
rules providing for the conduct of its meetings;
NOW, THEREFORE the City Council of the City of Srand
Terrace :..oes hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows :
Section 1. There is hereby established as a part of
the agenda of meetings of the City Council a Consent Calendar.
Section 2. Items appearing on the Consent Calendar are
those items which shall be handled routinely and for which
no public discussion or Council discussion is either required
or requested.
Section 3 . In the event that any member of the City
Council or member of the general public desires or requests
to discuss , question or inquire as to said item, that item
shall be removed from the Consent Calendar and replaced on
the Council agenda in an appropriate category which will
