1979-12 RESOLUTION NO. 79-12
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING
THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION OF
THE COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO TO INITIATE
PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A
SPHERE OF INFLUENCE FOR THE CITY OF GRAND
TERRACE
WHEREAS, the City of Grand Terrace was incorporated on November
30, 1978, and was incorporated without a Sphere of Influence; and
WHEREAS, certain unincorporated territory is contiguous to the
boundaries of the City of Grand Terrace and is not within the Sphere
of Influence of the City of Colton; and
WHEREAS, said unincorporated territory has historically considered
itself to be a part of the community of Grand Terrace and the residents
of said unincorporated territory have requested that they be included
within the boundaries of the City of Grand Terrace:
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Grand Terrace does
hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1 . That the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County
of San Bernardino is hereby requested to initiate proceedings to estab-
lish a Sphere of Influence as shown on the map attached hereto and made
a part hereof.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to file a copy of this Resolution with the Local Agency Formation Com-
mission of the County of San Bernardino and to do all acts necessary to

implement the purposes of this Resolution.
ADOPTED this 15th day of February, 1979.
