A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE
CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SCHEDULING CITY PARK
FACILITY USE.
WHEREAS, the City of Grand Terrace owns and operates two City parks, Rollins Park
and Pico Park that are used by sports leagues that have overlapping play seasons.
WHEREAS, scheduling of the two parks has become difficult with the addition of a
football league requesting play fields at Rollins Park.
WHEREAS, at the January 8, 2013 City Council meeting, the City Council agreed to
form a Facility Use Ad-Hoc Committee made up of two'City Council members, City Staff
and representatives of each sport league to meet and provide recommendations to
resolve field use requests by the Soccer League and Football League.
WHEREAS, on January 23rd & 31 st, 2013 the Ad-Hoc Committee met to discuss
recommendations that would provide field use for the Soccer and Football Leagues.
WHEREAS, the Ad-Hoc Committee agreed that the sports leagues request to abide by
the signed Agreement that the leagues have provided to the committee (shown as
Exhibit "A") shall be moved forward for City Council consideration and approval.
THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE HEREBY
RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING:
Section 1. The City Council has reviewed the signed Agreement attached to this
Resolution as Exhibit "A".
Section 2. The City Council agrees with the recommendations of the Facility Use Ad-
Hoc Committee and the recommendations as stated in the attached Agreement, Exhibit
"A"
Section 3. The attached Agreement Exhibit "A" shall become the Soccer and Football
Leagues schedule.for field use at Rollins Park and Pico Park for the 2013 season and
beyond.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of February, 2013.
