A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLAN
AMENDMENT OF THE SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN
FOR SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY TO PROVIDE 'FOR THE
LIMITED EXPANSION OF HEAPS PEAK REFUSE SITE
LOCATED BETWEEN RUNNING SPRINGS AND SKY FOR-
EST ON STATE HIGHWAY 18.
WHEREAS, the State of California. has. adopted the Solid Waste Management
and Resource Recovery Act of 1972 (Se.ctions 6670.0-66793, Government Code)
and Title 14, California Administrative Code Sections 17110-17160; and
WHEREAS, said Act required each county to prepare a Solid Waste
Management Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 17155 Title, California Administrative Code, requires
that plan amendments be approved by a majority of the cities containing a -
majority of the population of the incorporated area; and.
WHEREAS, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors has authorized
the amendment of said-prl-an..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Grand Terrace does hereby approve said amendment.
ADOPTED this 2nd day of Aug. 1979.
