1979-45 RESOLUTION NO. 79-45
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING GENERAL
PLAN AMENDMENT HEARING CYCLES
WHEREAS, Section 65860 of the California Government Code
requires that zoning and the General Plan be consistent; and
WHEREAS, Section 65361 of the California Government Code
requires that any mandatory element of a general plan shall not be
amended more frequently than three (3) times during any calendar year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ESTABLISHED BY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE, the following policies
regarding amendments to the Grand Terrace City General Plan:
1 . There shall be three (3) General Plan Amendment
hearing cycles per calendar year.
2. The City Planning Commission shall make available
a General Plan Amendment Calendar for each calendar year which will show .
the proposed dates of action on the plan amendment applications , including
filing deadline, and Planning Commission and City Council hearing dates.
3. General Plan Amendment application for a given parcel
or parcels of land will not be accepted for one (1 ) year following the
adoption of a General Plan Amendment for the same parcel or parcels of
land.
4. Any decision by staff to deny an applicant the right
to file a General Plan Amendment may be appealed to the City Planning
Commission.
5. Any decision by the City Planning Commission concern-
ing an applicant' s right to file a General Plan Amendment may be appealed
to -the City Council .
