1980-28 RESOLUTION NO. 80-28
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA,
PROPOSING THE CONSOLIDATION OF THE
COLTON JUSTICE COURT INTO THE SAN
BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL COURT
WHEREAS , it is the understanding of the City of Grand
Terrace City Council that the San Bernardino County Board
of Supervisors is currently considering the consolidation
of the Colton Justice Court into the San Bernardino
Municipal Court; and
WHEREAS , the citizens of the City of Grand Terrace
currently receive a great degree of local benefit by the
existence of the local Colton Justice Court to consider
local matters falling within the jurisdiction of the
Justice Court; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a con-
solidation of the Colton Justice Court into the San
Bernardino Municipal Court system would result in a lesser
degree of citizen local benefit and would create a hardship
upon the Grand Terrace citizens :
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Grand
Terrace does hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That- the San Bernardino County Board of
Supervisors not approve the consolidation of the Colton
Justice Court into the San Bernardino Municipal Court
system.
Section 2 . That the San Bernardino County Board of
Supervisors continue the current level of service to the

citizens of Grand Terrace by the continuing existence of
the Colton Justice Court.
Section 3. That the Clerk is hereby directed and
authorized to forward a copy of this Resolution to the
Presiding Judge of the San Bernardino Municipal Court, the
Judge of the Colton Justice Court, the Chairman of the
Board of Supervisors and to each member of the Board of
Supervisors , and to the Clerk to the Board of Supervisors.
ADOPTED this 3rd day of July , 1980.
