1980-34 RESOLUTION NO. 80-34
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AND ACCEPT-
ING THE NEGOTIATED EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY TAX
REVENUES RESULTING FROM THE JURISDICTIONAL CHANGE
INVOLVING THE COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, LAFC NO.
1928.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . The City Council of the City of Grand Terrace hereby
finds and determines that:
A. Pursuant to Section 99 of the Revenue and Taxation Code, prior
to the effective date of any jurisdictional change, the governing bodies
of all agencies whose service areas or service responsibilities would be
altered by such change must determine the amount of property tax revenues, ; : '
to be exchanged between the affected agencies and approve and accept,the-------
negoti.ated exchange of property tax revenue by resolution. In the_e-v_(�nt -
that such a jurisdictional change would affect the service area or:.�6vicec, �=
responsibility of one or more special districts, the San Bernardi no`_ ounty=-
Board of Supervisors shall , on behalf of the district or districts, .jegot w;=
ate any exchange of property tax revenues.
B. The City Council of the City of Grand Terrace and the Board--of
Supervisors of the County of San Bernardino have determined the amount
of property tax revenues to be exchanged as a result of the following
jurisdictional change:
City of Grand Terrace LAFC No. 1928
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Grand Terrace therefore
resolves and orders that the negotiated exchange of property tax revenues
between the City of Grand Terrace and the County of San Bernardino result-
ing from the above-described jurisdictional change, attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference, is approved and accepted.
Further, it is understood that future property tax revenue will be
distributed to the City of Grand Terrace in an amount not less than the
percentage obtained by applying the herein agreed-upon amount ($1 ,379)
to the total amount of property tax revenue generated ($5,019) within
LAFC No. 1928 per Exhibit "A".
Section 3. The City Clerk of the City of Grand Terrace is hereby
directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and to cause a
certified copy to be sent to the Auditor-Controller of the County of
San Bernardino and to the Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation
Commission of the County of San Bernardino.
