1981-09 RESOLUTION NO. 81- 09
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE REVISED
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT MAS-
TER PLAN.
WHEREAS, the State of California has adopted the Solid Waste
Management and Resource Recovery Act of 1972 (Sections 66700-66793,
Government Code) ; and
WHEREAS, said Act requires each county to prepare a Solid
Waste Management Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 66780.5 of said Government Code requires that
the Master Plan be revised at least every three years from the date of
initial approval ; and
WHEREAS, the original Solid Waste Management Master was approved
by a majority of the cities containing a majority of the population of
the incorporated areas in 1975; and
WHEREAS, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors has
authorized revision of the said plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 66780 of said Government Code requires the
revised Solid Waste Management Master Plan for San Bernardino County
be approved by a majority of the cities containing a majority of the popu-
lation of the incorprated area; and
WHEREAS, said Master Plan has been reviewed by the City_ Council
of the City of Grand Terrace;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Grand Terrace does hereby approve said Master Plan and concurs
in the objectives set forth in the Master Plan; the methods and organi-
zation for implementation of the programs; procedures for financing
recommended programs; and the role identified in the plan for the City
of Grand Terrace.
