RESOLUTION NO. 81-11
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE APPLI-
CATION FOR 1980 STATE GRANT MONIES UNDER THE
PROVISIONS OF THE CALIFORNIA PARKLANDS ACT OF
1980
WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted
the California Parklands Act of 1980, which provides funds to the State
of California and its political subdivisions for acquiring lands and
for developing facilities for public recreation and historical purposes;
and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been
delegated the responsibility for the administration of the program with-
in the State, setting up necessary procedures governing applications to
the State; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department _
of Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution
the approval of application prior to submission of said applications to
the State; and -
WHEREAS, said application contains assurances that the applicant
must comply with; and
WHEREAS, the applicant agency will enter into an agreement with
the State of California for the acquisition and/or development of the
project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Grand Terrace, California:
1 . Approves the filing of an application for 1980 State
grant assistance for Terrace Hills ballfield lighting
project; and
2. Certifies that said agency understands the assurances
and certification in the application; and
3. Certifies that said agency has or will have sufficient
funds to operate and maintain the project; and
4. Certifies that said agency has reviewed and understands
the General Provisions contained in the State/Local
Agreement; and
5. Appoints the City Manager as agent of the City to
conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all
documents including, but not limited to, applica-
tions, agreements, amendments, payment requests,
and any other documents necessary for the comple-
tion of the aforementioned project.
