1981-13 RESOLUTION NO. 81-13
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, RESCINDING RESOLUTION
NO. 81-04 AND FIXING AND ESTABLISHING CHARGES FOR
SEWER SERVICE WITHIN THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grand Terrace has
adopted Ord-inance No. 43, which provides for the establishment of Sewer
charges within the City of Grand Terrace by resolution; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish such charges in order to
collect adequate funds to pay the City of Colton amounts required pursuant
to an existing agreement; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to amend Section 3 of Resolution No.
81-04 to adjust the percentage of increase for. the commercial/industrial'.`-`,
to be the same as the residenti.al users;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of tine=-,ity
of Grand Terrace that Resolution No. 81-04 be rescinded in its enti-.reltY-1 - -
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED as follows: _
SECTION 1 . Sewer service charges shall be billed on a bi-monthly
basis, in advance of service, and shall be due and payable as of the date
of the billing; thirty (30) days thereafter said amount shall become
delinquent.
SECTION 2. Residential users shall be charged the rate of seven
dollars ($7.00) per month. For the purposes of this Resolution, each
single family dwelling, each dwelling unit in a multiple residential complex
(including duplexes, apartments, condominiums, etc. ) , and each dwelling
unit in a mobile home park shall be charged at the rate of $7.00 per month.
SECTION 3. Commercial and/or industrial users shall be charged
a rate of $0.32 per one-hundred cubic feet of water used per month or any
portion thereof; however, the minimum monthly charge for such users
shall be $7.00 per month.
SECTION 4. Each church user shall be charged the rate of $7.00
per month; however, each church-owned property shall be charged at the
appropriate use rate as provided herein.
SECTION 5. Individual schools shall be charged a rate of $7.00
per month for each one-hundred (100) average daily attendance or portion
thereof. These amounts shall be computed on the basis of the previous
twelve (12) months.
