1981-26 RESOLUTION NO. 81-26
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, RESCINDING RESOLUTION
NO. 81-11 AND APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR 1980
STATE GRANT MONIES UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE
CALIFORNIA PARKLANDS ACT OF 1980.
WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the
California Parklands Act of 1980, which provides funds to the State of
California and fts polftical subdivisions for acquiring lands and for
developing facilities for public recreation and historical purposes; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been
delegated the responsibility for the administration of the program within
the State, setting up necessary procedures governing appl.icat tons to the
State.; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of
Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the
approval of application prior to submission of said applications to,,the
Stated and : =
WHEREAS, said application contains assurances that the a-p'�Iican t�
must comply- with; and
WHEREAS, the applicant agency will enter into an agreement;ivith
the State of California for the acquisition and/or development of .de
project; and =
WHEREAS, .-negotiations-: with the County of San Bernardino regarding
Proposition One have established a change in priorities for the facilities
of the ,T-drrace Hills Community Park;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Grand Terrace
DOES HEREBY-RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . That Resolution No. 81-11 is hereby rescinded in its
entirety.
Section 2. Approval for the filing of an application for 1980
grant assistance for Terrace Hills rest room facilities project.
Section 3. Certification that said agency understands the
assurances and certification in the. application.
Section 4. Certification that said agency has or will have
sufficient funds to operate and maintain the project.
Section 5. Certification that said agency has reviewed and
understands the General Provisions contained in the State/Local
Agreement.
Section 6. Appoints the City Manager as Agent of the City
to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including,
but not limited to, applications, agreements, amendments, payment requests,
and any other documents necessary for the completion of the aforementioned
project.
