1981-30 RESOLUTION NO. 81-30
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A POLICY
FOR IMPLEMENTING CONTRACT CHANGE ORDERS.
WHEREAS, during the prosecution of various City projects, contract
change orders are necessary for completion of the work; and
WHEREAS, oftentimes the change orders require a quick response
time that does not allow approval by Council prior to implementing the
change order;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Grand Terrace
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE THE FOLLOWING:
SECTION 1 . The City Manager is authorized to approve contract
change orders not to exceed $10,000.00 or twenty-five percent (25%) of
the original contract price, whichever is less, with such change orders
subsequently submitted to the City Council for confirmation.
SECTION 2. Only work which would be considered under the purview
of the original contract would be undertaken through the change order
procedures.
