1981-48 RESOLUTION NO. 81-48
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING CHARGES
FOR DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION OF SEWER
SERVICE AS A RESULT OF NON-PAYMENT OF SEWER
SERVICE CHARGES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grand Terrace has
adopted Ordinance No. 51 providing for the disconnection of sewer
services for the non-payment of sewer service charges; and
WHEREAS, Section 8 of said Ordinance provides for the
establishment, by Resolution, of delinquent charges plus -penalties,
and provides for the disconnection and reconnection of sewer services
for non-payment of said sewer service charges; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish said
charges as provided for;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City. of Grand Terrace
does hereby resolve, determine, and order as follows:
SECTION 1 . That all costs incurred by the City for
disconnection and reconnection of sewer services as a result of non-
payment of sewer service charges shall become a charge against the
property being served which has been disconnected or reconnected.
SECTION 2. That said charges shall be billed to the
property, along with all delinquent charges. Said disconnection
charges, reconnection charges, and other delinquent charges shall ,
from the date of disconnection, bear interest at the rate of ten
percent (10%) per annum.
SECTION 3. Prior to reconnection of said sewer service,
the City may require payment of all charges due, plus a reasonable
deposit to ensure prompt payment in the reasonable future.
