A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTEN-
TION TO VACATE THAT CERTAIN PORTION OF UNNAMED
PUBLIC ROAD, FIXING A TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING
TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED OR OBJECTING TO THE
PROPOSED VACATION, PROVIDING FOR POSTING PURSUANT
TO THE STREET VACATION ACT OF 1941 AS CONTAINED
IN SECTION 8300 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE
OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAND TERRACE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . That pursuant to the Street Vacation Act of 1941 and
pursuant to Sections 8300 et seq of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, the City Council declares intention to vacate a certain
portion of an unnamed public road located in the City of Grand Terrace,
California and more particularly described as follows:
Those portions of Lot 55, East Riverside Land Company
as per map recorded in Book 6 of Maps, Page 44, records
of said County, lying within Section 5, Township 2 South,
Range 4 West, San Bernardino Meridian described in that
certain Offer of. Dedication to the County of San Bernardino
recorded October 16, 1973 in Book 8288 of Official Records ,
page 1064 in the Office of the County Recorder of said
County being more particularly described as follows: `
Parcel No. 1 _
The West 36.00 feet of said Lot 55.
Parcel No. 2
A triangular shaped parcel of land bounded as follows:
On the West by the East line of said Parcel No. 1 ; On
the North by the South line of Pico Street, 66.00 feet
wide;
And on the Southeast by the Arc of a curve concave to
the Southeast and having a radius of 20.00, said curve
being tangent to the East line of said Parcel No. 1
and tangent to the South line of said Pica Street.
SECTION 2. That a Hearing is to be conducted on the loth day
of September, 1981 at the hour of 6:00 p.m. at the Terrace View Elementary
School , 22731 Grand Terrace Road, Grand Terrace, California at which time
all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation will be
heard.
SECTION 3. Notices of said vacation shall be posted conspicuously
along the line of the street or part thereof proposed to be vacated at least
ten days before the date set for the Hearing. Said Notices shall be posted
not more than 300 feet apart, but at least three shall be posted. . Said
Notices shall state the passage of this Resolution of Intention, and the
time and place of the Hearing. Said Notices shall be posted by the
superintendent of streets and thereafter he shall file an affidavit of
posting with the City Clerk.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall cause this Resolution to be
posted within fifteen days after its adoption in three (3) public places
established' by the City Council .
