1982-02 RESOLUTION NO. 82- 02
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, RESCINDING RESOLUTION
NO. 81-58 AND ESTABLISHING BAIL AMOUNTS FOR PARK-
ING CITATIONS PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NO. .48.
WHEREAS, on September 30, 1980, by action of the San Bernardino County
Board of Supervisors, the Colton Justice Court, serving the City of Grand
Terrace, was merged into the San Bernardino County Municipal Court; and
WHEREAS, the Colton Justice Court had been authorized to collect bail
resulting from the issuance of parking citations; and
WHEREAS, the City has been deemed the collecting authority; and
WHEREAS, On October 1, 1981, Governor Brown signed Assembly Bill 189
(Cortese) creating the County Criminal Justice Facility Temporary Construction
Fund for the construction, reconstruction, expansion, or improvements of
county criminal justice and court facilities and for improvement of county
criminal justice automated information systems ; and
WHEREAS, this bill requires all cities which process parking
violations to collect a surcharge of one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) for
each violation where a fine or forfeiture is imposed; and
WHEREAS, the municipal court judges have approved a $2.00 increase in
all bail amounts for parking citations;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Grand Terrace DOES
HEREBY RESOLVES AND DETERMINES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Resolution No. 81-58 is hereby rescinded in its
entirety.
SECTION 2. That the parking citation bail schedule is to be as
indicated on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein.
ADOPTED this 14th day of January, 1981.
