1982-06 RESOLUTION NO. 82-06
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
ATTORNEY TO PREPARE AN IMPARTIAL ANALYSIS OF
MEASURES.
WHEREAS, a regular General Municipal Election is to be held in the
City of Grand Terrace, California, on Tuesday, April 13, 1982, at which there
will be submitted to the qualified electors of said City the following
measures:
MEASURE A. "Shall the Electors elect a Mayor and four City Council
Members?"
MEASURE B. "Shall the term of office of Mayor be two years .or four
years?"
ADVISORY.MEASURE ONLY
MEASURE A - SHALL THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE CONDUCT THE GENERAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS: ~-
(1) In April of even-numbered years, as is
presently being done, and not be consolidated
with elections conducted by San Bernardino
County?
(2) In November of odd-numbered years, to be
consolidated with the Uniform District
Elections (currently includes Colton Joint
Unified School District Elections) conducted
by San Bernardino County? This will result
in the extension of the terms of City Council
Members approximately 19.months.
(3) In November of even-numbered years, to be
consolidated with the Statewide General
Elections conducted by San Bernardino County;
This will result in the extension of the
terms of City Council Members approximately 7
months.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That this City Council , being the legislative body of the
City- of Grand Terrace, California, hereby authorizes the City Attorney to
prepare an impartial analysis of said advisory measures for submittal to the
qualified electors of .said City.
