1982-09 RESOLUTION NO. 82-09
A . RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, CONDEMNING THE
REPRESSION OF THE POLISH PEOPLE BY THEIR
GOVERNMENT AND ARMED FORCES.
WHEREAS, the freedom loving citizens of the City of Grand Terrace
condemn the repression of the Polish people by their government, armed forces,
and the Soviet Union; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of said City view with alarm and disgust the
violation of the will of the Polish people;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER, on behalf of the citizens of
said City, that it be known that this City joins the rising chorus of world
public opinion in demanding the establishment in Poland of the basic human
rights and civil government which are the hallmarks of a civilized society.
ADOPTED this 11th day of February, 1982.
