RESOLUTION NO. 82- 21
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A "NO
PARKING" ZONE ON DE BERRY STREET PURSUANT TO
SECTION 22507 OF THE STATE VEHICLE CODE
WHEREAS, the periodic sweeping of the streets and gutters has been
found necessary to the maintenance and cleanliniess of the City of Grand
Terrace; and
WHEREAS, vehicles parked parallel to the curb interfere with the
efficiency of said sweeping;
WHEREAS, the multiple family dwellings along De Berry Street east of
the Gage Canal and west of Mt. Vernon Avenue generate numerous vehicles parked
on De Berry Street;
WHEREAS, Section 22507 of the State Vehicle Code permits local
agencies to restrict by resolution the parking or standing of vehicles on
certain streets during certain hours of the day;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. On the fourth Tuesday of each month, the parking or
standing of vehicles is prohibited on De Berry Street east of the Canal and
west of Mt. Vernon Avenue between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.
Section 2. City Staff is directed to place signs providing notice of
this action on both sides of De Berry Street within the above zone.
ADOPTED this 13th day of May, 1982.
