1982-26 RESOLUTION NO. 82-26
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, REGARDING THE FIRST
CYCLE 1982 GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENTS.
WHEREAS, Section 65860 of the California Government Code requires that
zoning and the General Plan be consistent; and
WHEREAS, Section 65361 of the California Government Code requires that
any mandatory element of a general plan shall not be amended more frequently
than three (3) times during any calendar year; and -
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grand Terrace, on November
1, 1979, did establish three (3) hearing cycles per year for the review of
requested Plan Amendments; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grand Terrace Planning Commission has conducted a
legally notified Public. Hearing, during which the project comprising the First
Cycle 1982 Amendment to the City General Plan was presented, studied, and
testimony received; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grand Terrace has also
conducted a legally notified Public Hearing, during which the project
comprising the First Cycle 1982 Amendment to the City General Plan was
presented, studied, and testimony received; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grand Terrace Environmental Review Officer found
that the project would have no significant affect on the environment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE that, having reviewed various alternatives, the findings of the
Environmental Review Officer, the testimony given at the Hearing, hereby takes
the following action:
Proposal : Amend the General Plan from "Residential " to Commercial ."
Location: North side of Van Buren, west side of Michigan Avenue, as
shown on attached Exhibit "A".
File/Index: GPA 82-1-A
Applicant: City of Grand Terrace Planning Department.
Section 1. That the General Plan be amended from "Residential" to
"Commercial " west side of Michigan Avenue, north side of Van Buren, as shown
on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein and adopt the Negative
Declaration issued by the Environmental Review Officer:
