1982-37 RESOLUTION NO._ 82-37
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, OPPOSING ASSEMBLY BILL
3810 (TORRES) REGARDING A PROPOSED TAX ON INDUS-
TRIAL FIRE INSURANCE PREMIUMS.
WHEREAS, AB 3810 (Torres) would impose a tax on industrial fire
insurance premiums; and
WHEREAS, AB 3810 would impose said tax for the reimbursement- of local
government costs without the necessary guarantee of funding; and
WHEREAS, AB 3810 is a companion Bill supportive of. AB 3011 (Torres),
which basic premise the City Council of the City of Grand Terrace opposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE its opposition to AB 3810 (Torres) .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk furnish copies of this
Resolution to appropriate legislators urging they not support this
legislation.
