1983-61 RESOLUTION NO. 83-61
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, RESCINDING RESOLUTION
NO. 79-39 AND SETTING BAIL FOR INFRACTIONS TO THE
LITTER CONTROL AND PROPERTY MAINTENANCE ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council of the City of Grand
Terrace to set realistic penalties for infractions of the regulations
established by the City's Litter Control and Property Maintenance Ordinance;
and
WHEREAS, bail is set to be consistent with the issuance of citations,
the simplest possible enforcement system;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Grand Terrace as follows:
SECTION 1. Rescission - Resolution No. 79-39 is hereby rescinded in
its entirety.
SECTION 2: Bail for violations of the City's Litter Control and
Property Maintenance Ordinance shall be as follows:

a. Litter by pedestrians & motorists $10.00
b. Dumpouts 25.00
c. Littering with handbills, leaflets, etc. 10.00
d. Failure to provide litter receptacles 10.00
e. Transporting loose materials without
adequate covering 25.00
f. Lack of containers 25.00
g. Failure to clean loading/unloading areas 25.00
h. Accumulations of litter at construction/
demolition sites 25.00
i. Lack of containers at construction/
demolition sites 15.00
j. Inability to show proof of proper dis-
position of construction/demolition debris 15.00
k. Improper household solid waste
containerization 10.00
1 . Improper disposal of household bulk 25.00
m. Uncovered household containers 10.00
n. Failure to replace defective household
containers. $25.00
o. Depositing household solid waste in
sidewalk or other pedestrian litter
receptacles 25.00
p. Improper commercial solid waste

q. Uncovered commercial containers 10.00
r. Failure to replace defective commercial

s. Depositing commercial solid waste in

hh. Maintenance of premises 25.00

jj. Detriment to neighboring properties 10.00
SECTION 3. Each and every day during which a stationary violation(s)
continues, except in cases which a given time has been allowed for corrective
action to be taken, shall be a separate and distinct offense.
SECTION 4. Any and all persons guilty of an infraction shall pay the
fine within 30 days or be declared delinquent and the fine doubled. Failure
to pay within 90 days shall result in a tripling of the fine and filing of
said amount as a tax lien against the property with the County of San
Bernardino Assessors' Office.
