RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOP-
MENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE ,
AUTHORIZING AN ACTION TO BE FILED TO
DETERMINE THE VALIDITY OF TAX ALLOCATION
BONDS TO BE ISSUED BY THE AGENCY TO
FINANCE PORTIONS OF THE COST OF A
. - REDEVELOPMENT- PROJECT
WHEREAS , the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City. of
Grand Terrace (the "Agency" ) , is a redevelopment agency duly
created, established and authorized to transact business and
exercise its powers, under and pursuant to the Community,
Redevelopment Law (Part 1 of Division 24 of the Health and Safety
Code of the State of California) and the powers of the Agency
include the power to issue bonds for any of its corporate purposes;
and
WHEREAS , the Redevelopment ' Plan for a redevelopment project
known and designated as:
Redevelopment Plan for the
Revised Grand Terrace
Community Redevelopment Project
(the "Redevelopment Plan" ) , has been approved and adopted by
ordinance and all requirements of law for and precedent to the
approval and adoption of the Redevelopment Plan have been duly
complied with; and
WHEREAS , for the corporate purposes of the Agency to aid in
the financing of a portion of the cost of the Redevelopment
Project, the Agency intends to issue tax allocation bonds from time
to time; and
WHEREAS , it is desirable for the Agency . to authorize and
` 1 direct an action to be filed under and pursuant to Sections 860 et
seq. of the Code of Civil Procedure to determine the -..validity of
tax allocation bonds to be issued by the Agency and all other
proceedings incident thereto:
NOW, THEREFORE , the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City
of Grand Terrace does hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as
follows:
Section 1. Validation-Action. The firm of Brown & Nazarek,
attorneys at law, is hereby authorized and directed to file an
action, under and pursuant to Section 860 et seq. of the Code of
Civil Procedure, to determine the validity of tax allocation bonds
to be issued by the Agency and to determine the validity of all
proceedings incident thereto.
Section 2. Publication-of-Summons. The newspaper of general
circulation for publication of summons is hereby designated as:
The Sun
Section 3 . Authority...of-- Officers. The officers of this
Agency are hereby authorized and directed to execute all
appropriate documents and to perform all other acts necessary to
process the aforementioned validation action.
