2019-32 RESOLUTION NO. 2019-32
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND
TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A JUNK AND SECONDHAND
DEALERS LICENSE FOR SAFE WAY RECYCLING AND RECOVERY,
INC. LOCATED AT 21516 MAIN STREET
WHEREAS, On March 31, 2011, the Planning Commission adopted Resolution
No. 2011-02 approving Conditional Use Permit 11-01 for American Metal Recycling
(AMR) to operate a collection recycling facility located at 21516 Main Street; and
WHEREAS, AMR terminated their business and Safe Way Recycling and
Recovery, Inc, is proposing to operate a recycling collection facility pursuant to Resolution
No. 2011-02; and
WHEREAS, Safe Way Recycling and Recovery, Inc. has now filed a Junk and
Secondhand Dealers License Application, pursuant to Chapter 5.44 Junk and
Secondhand Dealers of the Grand Terrace Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, all legal prerequisites to the adoption of this Resolution have
occurred.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAND TERRACE:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby specifically finds that all the facts set forth in
the above Recitals, are true and correct and are incorporated herein as findings of the
City Council.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby approves a Junk and Secondhand Dealers
License for Safe Way Recycling and Recovery, Inc., subject to the requirements
contained in Chapter 5.44 (Junk and Secondhand Dealers) of the Grand Terrace
Municipal Code and all other applicable laws, and contingent upon issuance of a business
license.

Terrace at a regular meeting held on the 22nd day of October 2019.
