DECEMBER 2, 1993
The regular meeting of the Grand Terrace Planning Commission was called to order at the
Grand Terrace Civic Center, 22795 Barton Road, Grand Terrace, California on December
2, 1993 at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Dan Buchanan.

B) ZONING AMENDMENTS TO CLARIFY WORDING ON VARIOUS SECTIONS OF
CODE IN ORDER TO INCREASE FLEXIBILITY, FACILITATE UNDERSTANDING AND
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CODE. THIS INCLUDES ZONING CODE CHAPTER 18,
SECTION 18.76 (NON -CONFORMING USES), SECTION 18.63 (SITE AND
ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW) AND BARTON ROAD SPECIFIC PLAN REGULATIONS

REMODEL TO A SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE IN THE R1-7.2 DISTRICT
The Associate Planner presented the staff report.

Mr. Nix expressed his appreciation for staffs help in expediting this process.
He stated that he would prefer the color of the staircase not be stipulated,
since nobody can see it. He stated he would probably choose an earth tone.

Commissioner Munson made a motion to approve SA-93-07. Commissioner
Huss seconded.
Commissioner Van Gelder asked about deleting the stipulation regarding
color of the staircase since it is not visible.
Chairman Buchanan suggested that this condition be changed to say that the
color of the staircase be complimentary to the existing structure and to be
approved by the Planning Department.
Commissioners Munson and Huss concurred.
Motion carries. 6-0-1-0. Vice -Chairman Sims absent.
