CITY OF GRAND TERRACE
AUGUST 16, 1979
A Regular Meeting of the Planning Commission, City of Grand Terrace, was held
in the First Baptist Church of Grand Terrace, 12354 Mt. Vernon, Grand Terrace,
California, on August 16, 1979 at 6:04 P.M.
PRESENT: Commissioners: Tony Petta; Thomas A. Tillinghast; Doug Erway;
Jack Allen; Hugh J. Grant
Staff: Seth Armstead, City Manager; Joe Kicak, City
Engineer; Ivan Hopkins, City Attorney; Myrna
Lindahl, Executive Secretary/Deputy City Clerk
ABSENT: None
RESOLUTION NO. PC-79-2
RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF GRAND
TERRACE APPROVING THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE GRAND TERRACE
COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT, MAKING ITS REPORT AND RECOM-
MENDATION AS TO CONFORMITY WITH THE GENERAL PLAN AND CERTIFYING
AS TO THE REVIEW OF THE DRAFT EIR.
Don Otterman, Urban Futures Incorporated, gave a presentation
regarding conformity to the General Plan and the Redevelopment
Plan.
Chairman Petta opened Public Hearing on the matter, and the
following citizens addressed questions to the Commission:
Irene Mason, 22530 La Paix; Roy Nix, 12173 Country Club Lane;
Darlene Stormes, 12218 Warbler Avenue; John McDowell, 22690
Cardinal; Kathy Harmon, 11834 Kingston Street; and Steve Kiacz,
11809 Holly Street. Chairman Petta closed Public Hearing.
MOTION was made by Commissioner Erway, seconded by Commissioner
Grant and carried unanimously to approve Resolution No. PC-79-2.
MINUTES, PLANNING COMMISSION - July 26 and August 2, 1979
MOTION was made by Commissioner Tillinghast, seconded by
Commissioner Erway to approve the Planning Commission Minutes
of July 26 and August 2, 1979. The Motion carried on AYE votes
of Commissioners Petta, Tillinghast, Erway and Allen, with
Commissioner Grant abstaining regarding the July 26 Minutes and
voting AYE on the August 2, 1979 Minutes.

ADJOURN
MOTION was made by Commissioner Erway, seconded by Commissioner
Tillinghast and carried unanimously to adjourn the Planning
Commission Meeting at 6:42 p.m.
