The Loma Linda traffic officer’s days were altered to allow them to take part in the 30-hour deputy position during the week, resulting in higher levels of traffic enforcement. Additionally, one of our HOPE deputies has been taking one day per week and concentrating on the homeless issues, thus reducing their visibility in the city, providing them with direct access to services, and lessening the byproduct of homelessness such as panhandling, trespassing, public indecency, etc. HOPE TEAM The 2020 Riverside County Point in Time Count identified 9 homeless individuals in the Highgrove community. With the nearest market or retail centers being in Grand Terrace and Colton, this population travels to or through the city when utilizing such services. These reasons impact the city and at times give an image of a larger homeless population within Grand Terrace.
