1. Find that the Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation
Project (CIP 2021-1) is categorically exempt from the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant
to CEQA Regulations Section 15301(c) and authorize
the preparation and filing of a Notice of Exemption as
applicable.
Recommendation:
2.Award the Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Project (CIP
2021-1)to Onyx Paving Company,Inc.and approve the public
works agreement with Onyx Paving Company,Inc.in the amount
of $663,000.00,plus a 10%contingency ($66,300.00)for the
construction of the Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Project
(CIP 2021-1)for:a)Base Bid ($358,000);b)Add Alternate 1:
Barton Road from City Limit to Honey Hill ($110 ,000);and c)Add
Alternate 2:La Cadena from Barton Road to Litton Avenue
($195,000)and authorize the City Manager to execute the
agreement subject to City Attorney approval as to form;AND
Recommendation (continued):
a.Authorize the revenue and expense appropriations as detailed in Table 1
of the Fiscal Impact Section AND the appropriation of excess bond
proceeds in the amount of $205,631 as detailed in Tables 2 and 3 of the
Fiscal Impact Section;AND
b.Adopt A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE,CALIFORNIA,APPROVING AN EXPENDITURE
OF BOND PROCEEDS FOR THE ROAD MAINTENANCE AND
REHABILITATION PROJECT (2021-1),ADD ALTERNATE 2,LA
CADENA FROM BARTON ROAD TO LITTON AVENUE;OR
