Data driven applications through a Community Risk Assessment allows for more specific deployment of resources to increase the safety of county residents. •Geographic Information Systems (GIS) •Esri Inc. Spatial Analytics (Future) •Value added to already negotiated Enterprise License Agreement Data Collection Tom Strong Assistant Fire Marshal tstrong@sbcfire.org Current Applications •Damage Assessment –2020 NACO Recipient •Vacant Buildings •Illegal Fireworks Reporter -2021 NACO Submission Damage Assessment 2020 NACO Recipient •Uses authoritative parcel data from County Assessor’s Office maintained by Information Technology •Mix of mobile and web-based applications •Data recorded is live and real-time providing information to County, State and Federal stakeholders •Program has been adapted to include Civil Unrest (Fall 2020) and weather related incidents and earthquakes with the ability to continue to update and refine should new incident types occur •Methods shared with cooperative agencies Vacant Building Reporter •Used to combat blight •Data can be easily shared with cooperator agencies •Tracks high crime and vandalism areas use by homeless and illegal activities San Bernardino County Fire Online Illegal Fireworks Reporting System 2020 Report •On June 17,2020 the San Bernardino County Fire Online Illegal Fireworks Reporting •System was opened to the public. •This simple online survey allows citizens the opportunity to report the illegal use and illegal sales of fireworks 24 hours a day,7 days a week online with the option of staying anonymous •The data collected was then used during the Fireworks Patrols conducted by The Office of the Fire Marshal to concentrate patrol efforts in those areas that were receiving the highest reports The Public Dashboard View This view allows the public to see the locations of complaint with limited detail Field Officer Dashboard This view gives patrol staff the exact location and details of the complaint This report is used to share complaint information with our Partner Fire Agencies,Law Enforcement Partners and other Agencies. This Report was for illegal sales in the City of Fontana. It was sent to our Investigations Unit who passed the information onto Fontana Police.
