MINUTES OF ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
October 26 , 1981
The Grand Terrace Planning Commission adjourned regular meeting of October
26 , 1981 was called to order at 6 : 30 P . M . in the Planning Department
Conference Room - Grand Terrace City Hall , 22795 Barton Road , Grand Terrace ,
California by Vice-Chairman Sanford L . Collins .
ROLL CALL : Commissioners Present : Andress , Bartel , Cole , Collins , Erway ,
DeBenedet and McDowell
Commissioners Absent : Smith and Tetley
Other Present : Virginia Farmer , Director

NEW BUSINESS :

The American Baptist Church on Vista Grande Way requested the Planning
Commission to rule on a double faced directory sign . Which they wished
to located on Mt . Vernon and Grand Terrace Road . After discussion , it
Nas decided that on a case by case basis , certain church directory signs
would be excluded from the sign ordinance provisions based on Article
III Section 2 , Ordinance No . 27 .
PCM 81-54 MOTION by McDowell , seconded by Cole and voted unanimously
by all present to approve the American Baptist Directory
Sign on the northeast corner of Mt . Vernon and Grand Terrace
Road with the provisions sign be erected on a metal pipe
and church be responsible for repair or removal of sign if
vandalized .

#2 MOTION by DeBenedet , seconded by Bartel and voted unanimously
by all present to adjourn to a study session in order to
PCM 81-55 complete the study of the proposed Zone Ordinance .

Lengthy discussion and study followed . The meeting was convened and the
following decisions were made :
'CM 81-56 MOTION BY Andress , seconded by McDowell and voted unanimously
to approve deletion of the Chapter titled A- 1 -5 and retain
the A- 1 zone chapter .

It was decided to include more landscaping in the section concerning parking
For commercial and industrial buildings . This section is to be distributed
to each Commissioner for approval to include in the Zone Ordinance .
By consensus decision , it was decided to set December 14 , 1981 for the
public hearing on the Zone Ordinance . Proper legal notification and
environmental criteria to be completed prior to this date .
The meeting was adjourned at 7 : 50 P . M .
