Minutes of Regular Meeting
April 22, 1985
The regular meeting of the Grand Terrace Planning Commission was called to order
at the Grand Terrace Civic Center, 22795 Barton Road, Grand Terrace, California
92324 on April 22, 1985 at 7:00 p.m. by Vice-Chairman Ray Munson.

I. MINUTES
A. Minutes of the adjourned Joint Regular Meeting with the City Council
on March 7, 1985.
PCM 85-31 Motion by Commissioner Cole, seconded by Commissioner
DeBenedet, and passed by a 5-0 vote to approve the
minutes of the adjourned joint regular meeting
with the City Council on March 7, 1985 as submitted.
II. NEW BUSINESS
A. Resolution rescinding Resolution No. PC 85-01 and establishing the location,
day, and time of Planning Commission meetings.
Planning Staff reported that this resolution establishes the first and third
Monday of each month as the regular Planning Commission meeting dates.
PCM 85-32 Motion by Commissioner McDowell, seconded by
Commissioner Cole, and passed by a 5-0 vote to adopt
a Resolution rescinding Resolution No. PC 85-01
and establishing the location, day, and time of
Planning Commission meetings.

B. Discussion of Annual Report to the City Council on the status of the
General Plan and progress on it's application.
Chairman Munson with the concurrence of the Commission continued this item
until the next meeting to allow all the members of the Planning Commission
an opportunity to discuss it.
At 7:05 p.m. , Vice-Chairman Munson adjourned the Planning Commission meeting
to a closed session to discuss potential litigation.
At 7:55 p.m. , Vice-Chairman Munson re-opened the Planning Commission, and
reported that the Planning Commission met in closed session to discuss potential
litigation and did not reach any decisions.
Commissioner McDowell requested the floor.
PCM 85-33 Motion by Commissioner McDowell, seconded by
Commissioner Hawkinson, and passed by a 5-0 vote to
direct Staff to request, at the next City Council
Meeting, a General Plan amendment to realign Canal
Street so that it will intersect Mount Vernon Avenue
at the intersection of Mount Vernon Avenue and
Brentwood Street.
Vice-Chairman Munson adjourned the Planning Commission meeting at 8:00 p.m.
and reconvened the public workshop.
