E.13 Refuse Rate AdjustmentPublic Hearing for Refuse Rate Adjustments July 12, 2022 2030 VISION STATEMENT This staff report supports goal #1 Ensure Our Fiscal Viability by ensuring appropriate cost recovery for services BACKGROUND •The City of Grand Terrace contracts with Burrtec to provide refuse hauling services. •Rate increases will be proposed for both residential, multi- family, and commercial customers. •The last rate adjustment was approved December 2021 and went into affect January 1, 2022. •To meet Prop 218 requirements a Notice of Public Hearing was sent to all Burrtec customers on May 27, 2022.
