A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND
TERRACE DECLARING THE REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 22582
CITY CENTER COURT IN THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE AS EXEMPT
SURPLUS LAND AND MAKING FINDINGS RELATED THERETO.
WHEREAS, the Surplus Land Act, Government Code Section 54220, et seq.
("Act"), govern the sale of surplus real property owned by the City of Grand Terrace
("City"); and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 54221(f)(1)(D) of the Act designates
certain surplus property as "exempt" from the provisions of the Act, which includes
property being transferred to another public agency for agency use (as defined therein);
and
WHEREAS, the City currently owns real property located at 22582 City Center
Court in the City of Grand Terrace ("Property") as legally described in Exhibit "A"; and
WHEREAS, the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District, a public entity,
("District") provides fire protection services to the city;and, in connection with�th'e forgoing,
leases the Property for use as fire station providing fire protection services to the City;
and
WHEREAS, the City desires to declare the Property as exempt surplus and,
therefore, sell the Property to the District, and the District desires to buy the Property from
the City, so that the District may continue to utilize the Property as :a fire! station as
provided above; and
WHEREAS, based on the forgoing, the Property is, therefore, "exempt surplus
land" as defined by the Act, because transfer of the Property to the District would serve
the public purpose of allowing the District to continue to use the Property as;a;fire station
as described above; and
WHEREAS, the City now desires to declare the Property exempt'surplus land and
authorize,transfer of the Property to the District.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Grand
Terrace, as follows:
Section 1. Recitals. The foregoing recitals are true and correct and
incorporated into this Resolution by this reference.
Section 2. Exempt Surplus Land. Based on the above recitals, the City
Council finds and declares (i) the Property is surplus because it is real'property that the
City no longer needs for its agency use; (ii) the Property is exempt surplus land pursuant
to Government Code Section 54221(f)(1)(D) because it will be transferred to the District

for the District's continued use thereof as a fire station providing fire protection services
to the City and its residents; and (iii) other related provisions of the Act are not,applicable
pursuant to Government Code Section 54222.3.
Section 3. Official Action. The officers of;the City are hereby authorized and
directed, for and in the name and on behalf of the City, to do any and all thin,gas and take
any and all actions which they, or any of them, may deem necessary or advisable in order
to consummate the purposes of this Resolution.
Section 4. Severability. If any provision of this Resolution or the application of
any such provision to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not
affect other provisions or applications of this Resolution that can be given effect without
the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this Resolution are
severable. The City Council declares that the City Council would have adopted this
Resolution irrespective of the invalidity of any particular portion of this Resolution.
Section 5. Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its passage.
PASSED, APPROVED and ORDERED by the City Council of the City of Grand
Terrace, California at a regular meeting held on the 23rd day of August,12022.

Parcel No. 4 of Parcel Map No. 6462 in the City of Grand Terrace, County of San
Bernardino, State of California, as per plat recorded in Book 77 of Parcel Maps,
pages 55 and 56, records of said County.
Being a subdivision of a portion of Lots 9 and 10, Hermosa Rancho, as, per plat
recorded in Book 13 of Maps, page 29, records of said County.
