CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Chair Brian Phelps convened the Regular Meeting of the Parks & Recreation Advisory
Committee at 4 18 p m

Vice -Chair Hogue moved, with a second from Committee Member Reagan to
approve the October 13, 2022, Regular Meeting minutes

a Advertisement of Meeting
i Senior Management Analyst Tillman revisited the options of
advertising the meeting on City Facebook page, City website, radio
station, City Council meetings, and the local community television
channel
ii Committee discussed inviting park volunteers for a meet and greet
during future meeting in February
b Installation of range hood at Richard Rollins Parks for GT Soccer League
i Committee considered inviting the soccer league representative to a
future meeting to discuss the kitchen range hood
c Checklist for Youth Leagues
i Senior Management Analyst Tillman revisited creating a weekly
checking list for more effective communication between the sports
teams and The City The checklist will assure issues get reported in a
timely manner and make those who misuse accountable
d Revision of Facilities Use Agreement
i Senior Management Analyst Tillman provided committee with an
updated Facility Use Policy with modifications to review
ii Tillman informed the committee of the citywide fee study being
conducted and actual fee changes were to come
5 Committee Member Comments
i Committee member inquired about the regulations concerning
campaign signs
ii Committee member inquired about the water and bottle filler station
due to be installed at Richard Rollins Park
iii Committee discussed concerns pertaining to the Veterans Day yard
sign access for seniors at Vista Blue Mountain Assisted Living &
Memory Care
iv Committee discussed sub -committees and asked about the process to
add new members on their boards
