CITY OF GRAND TERRACE September 17, 1996 TO ORDER The meetmg was called to order by Eileen Hodder at 7 05 p m AL OF NiE UTES: Minutes of the August 20, 1996 meeting were approved as read PRESENT: Eileen Hodder, Darla Wertz, Crary Eldridge, Vic Phenmghausen, and Jinn Hodder PRESENT: Council Liaison John Donlevy LIAISON REPORT: There will be a County wide disaster drill on October 3, 1996 It wr71 consist of a modified table top exercise Anyone who wishes to volunteer should let John know Two of the portable generators are now working normally The one which was beheved to have sustained extensive engine damage apparently was not damaged seriously Both have been returned to the outside storage container Identification cards will be reissued with photographs The MASH unit material will be retrieved by San Bernardino County in the near future UIPMENUFACILITY REPORT: A new 220 mHz antenna and a 2 Meter and 440 mHz dual band antenna have been installed on the tower and are functioning properly 2 The CRT for the computer has a horizontal problem which causes it to penodreallyy fiu7 once it has heated up The problem will be investigated here before commercial repair is contemplated COUNCIL AGENDA t; €M # '�/'I,\ Staff Report CRA ITEM( ) COUNCIL ITEM (x) '%7(EETING DATE October 24, 1996 SUBJECT SCHEDULE DECEMBER CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS The regularly scheduled City Council meetings for December fall on the 12th and 26th The Mstoncal & Cultural Activities Committee has scheduled the City Birthday Party for December 12th at 6 00 p m and have requested that the City Council schedule their meeting following this event The second meeting for December falls near the holidays Staff is recommending that only one meeting be scheduled for December on the 12th following the City Birthday Party Should an issue apse that needs to be addressed by the City Council, the Mayor may call a special meeting CHEDULE THE DECEMBER 12 MEETING TO FOLLOW THE CITY BIRTHDAY ELEBRATION AND AUTHORIZE CANCELING THE DECEMBER 26TH COUNCIL TTTT T/� COUNCIL AGENDA ISM # C,\ Staff Report CRA ITEM( COUNCIL ITEM (x) MEETING DATE October 24, 1996 SUBJECT CONSIDER LAFCO CANDIDATES The next meeting of the San Bernardino City Selection Committee is November 6, 1996, at 1100 a in at which tune elections will be held for the primary member of the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) for San Bernardino County The LAFCO election will be held to fill the position held by Jim Warren, City of Barstow, who is not seeking re-election David Eshleman, City of Fontana and Jun Bagley, City of Twentynine Palms, submitted resumes for this position Since that time, David Eshleman has withdrawn lus candidacy As there is no provision for appointment of the LAFCO member, it is necessary to hold the election even though there is now only one candidate COUNCIL AGENDA ITEM # B b
